VBeam Perfecta

The VBeam Perfecta is a pulsed-dye laser. It is absolutely the gold standard for treating unwanted redness, vessels and other vascular lesions. More specifically it is able to treat the background redness and enlarged vessels associated with rosacea and sun damage, telangiectasias (dilated vessels), cherry angiomas, and vascular birthmarks such as port wine stains. It can be used safely on any area of the body.Treatments are 10-30 minutes long and done 4-6 weeks apart. Most patients require more than one treatment although that depends on the condition we are treating. We tailor our treatment settings for each patient. In general, we can use less aggressive settings which result in some redness and swelling, or more aggressive settings which result in a small amount of bruising in additional to the redness and swelling. These effects last approximately 3-7 days. Both approaches are effective however more aggressive settings generally leads to complete resolution or the desired outcome in fewer treatments.
